The Context

Spoonful is a food brand built around a simple idea: that eating well shouldn't feel like a sacrifice. Through organic overnight oats packed with real ingredients, Spoonful set out to make nutritious food convenient, honest, and genuinely enjoyable — for everyday people and high-performance athletes alike. We led the brand strategy, visual identity, and packaging design from the ground up.
The healthy food category has a visual problem. Most brands in the space speak the same language: clinical whites, aggressive claims, before-and-after logic. For a new brand with nothing yet to its name, the temptation is to follow those codes and blend in. Spoonful had a different opportunity.

The Approach

We started with strategy. Rather than anchoring Spoonful in diet culture or performance pressure, we positioned the brand around balanced nutrition as a form of everyday well-being, something inclusive and realistic, not aspirational in a way that excludes.
From that foundation, we built a visual identity and packaging system with personality. Warm, direct, a little playful. The kind of brand that earns a spot on your counter, not just your grocery list. Every design decision, from the color palette to the packaging structure, was made to communicate that good food can be convenient without being complicated, and healthy without being joyless.
